An unconventional route into security — the questions still matter more than the tools.
My path into cybersecurity started somewhere unexpected: journalism and education. That background built a habit of asking hard questions and translating complex, technical realities into terms people can actually act on — skills that turned out to be exactly what security work demands.
A growing fascination with how networks talk to one another pulled me into IT, and since 2018 I've spent close to seven years in the field working with managed service providers — assessing risk, hardening systems, and helping organizations understand exactly where they stand before they decide what to do about it.
Today I work as an independent consultant, bringing that same MSP‑forged, client‑facing experience to organizations that need a clear, honest read on their security posture.
